Tara L. Martin has more than two decades as a decorated public affairs executive with expertise in stakeholder management, community engagement, and labor organizing. 

She is Founder and CEO of TLM Strategic Advisors, a boutique public affairs firm that fosters greater connectivity between governments, startups, institutions, and key stakeholder groups. Most recently she was Head of Public Affairs, Northeast for REEF Technology, a tech-enabled platform that transforms urban spaces into community hubs that create jobs and bring new goods, services and experiences throughout the region. Prior to this, she served as Director of Political Outreach at Madison Square Garden Entertainment and Executive Director of The Coalition to Restore New York.

Tara is one of the most prominent voices within the organized labor community throughout the United States. As Communications Director for the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union/UFCW and as the State Political Director and chief lobbyist for the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), she has designed and executed winning issue advocacy, legislative, and strategic messaging campaigns centered around workplace safety, training and education opportunities, and job creation within various industries.

She has decades of extensive campaign experience across four Presidential elections, and numerous federal, state and local elections. Tara was named to City & State magazine’s “2021 Brooklyn Power 100” and “2015 40 Under 40 Rising Stars” lists, and has been highlighted as Labor Leader of the Year by the Office of the Bronx Borough President and Somos El Futuro/New York State Assembly and Senate Puerto Rican & Hispanic Task Force. She is a lifelong New Yorker and currently resides in Brooklyn.
