My Grandma Sheila was a Brooklyn-born social worker and the matriarch of our family. Though she was a terrible cook, her chocolate squares remain my favorite dessert of all time.
Ingredients
1 cup of condensed milk
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
12 oz chocolate chips
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease an 8-inch square baking pan
Mix all ingredients together by hand in a large bowl
Pour into the baking pan, pat down, and bake for 10-15 minutes -- the top should be brown
Cut into squares while warm and remove from the pan
